“Saravah”, pronounced sah-rah-VAH. A name has to summarize one’s mission and values – that’s why Saravah came easily to us. It encapsulates the essence of Afro-Brazilian spiritual traditions and translates to English as “welcome” or “good luck.”

This greeting serves as an open door to invite people into the cultures and traditions of Brazil. Saravah is often used when referring to the orixas (or-ree-shas) or deities of the spiritual traditions of Candomblé and Umbanda in Brazil.
